NGO Sports Day 2017

“A warm smile is a universal language of Kindness – William Arthur Ward”
In an effort to bring smile and joy to the underprivileged kids from different NGOs, Social Responsibility Forum at NMIMS organized the NGO Sports day by providing them a common platform where they can display their sportsmanship as well as have fun. The idea was to emphasize and imbibe in them the sense of teamwork and joy of working together. The children in the age group 8 to 14 from renowned NGOs such as Teach For India, We For you, Aseema, Voyager and My Helping Hands NGOs participated in cricket, football, spoon race, sack race, relay race and dog and the bone.  The event was held on 9 January 2018 from 9 AM onward at Dhanjibhai Mehta Ground (Sadhana Ground) and saw participation. Every team gave their best and after a tough competition, Aseema emerged as Winners of the event. We distributed food packets and refreshments to the participants. Medals and trophies were awarded to the winners and gifts and certificates were awarded to all the participants. The event was supported by Annapurna who offered us food packets at subsidized rates and Cloud 9 who provided us water bottles for distribution
