SRF brought SPLASH’17 with the theme – ‘Who’s the person behind the mask?’

Held in the 6th-floor lounge, the amalgamation of colors on the canvas was the perfect embodiment of the theme of the event — ‘Who is the person behind the mask?’. Splash was the kick starter event of the year 2016-17, a prelude to the annual NGO Mela. Indeed, the best paintings from the event were prominently displayed on the lounges’ walls to further spruce up the social quotient in the Mela. The event was unique in the sense that no attempt of this kind has ever been undertaken in the campus. It was the first time that SRF came up with such an event to unleash the creative potential of NMIMS students.

An overwhelming number of participants unleashed their creativity and the quality of the paintings was extremely high.

After much deliberation, the judges whittled the entries down to a shortlist of their favorite paintings. As with any competition, there could only be one winner — an extremely difficult decision given the caliber of entries. And the team that best captured the judges’ imagination was (drumroll, please) Team Wobblehead. The imaginative duo, Slachi Jain, and Saumya Bansal produced a visually stunning treat that was simple, striking and thought-provoking. Shalini Suneja and Juhu Sarkar of Team Artista have adjudged runners-up in the competition. Their painting exemplifies ingenuity and marvelous craftsmanship. SRF would like to thank all the teams for participating in such great numbers and would like to congratulate all the winners for producing such incredible paintings. Their talent didn’t go unrewarded. They got prizes as:

 1st prize worth Rs.4000/-
2nd prize worth Rs. 2000/-
2 Consolation Prizes worth Rs.500/- each
